Some ships have both Bonsai Teppanyaki and Bonsai Sushi or just one of the two. When I was on Carnival Vista, for instance, they only had Bonsai Sushi. Similarly, Carnival Conquest had a Bonsai Sushi Express stall in the buffet.
Popular Carnival dining options
One of the first things we noticed is that you’ll find a smaller portion of one of the main entrees offered as an appetizer each day. While Norwegian Cruise Line has recently experimented with a set menu — meaning the same selections would be offered every night of a sailing — Carnival continues to offer a different menu each night of the cruise. The new Carnival Cruise Line menus were introduced in June of 2023 aboard the Carnival Dream, with the line saying they will have a fleetwide rollout over several months. Pizza delivery
This casual poolside spot serves up Mexican favorites like tacos and burritos with fillings including chipotle chicken, roast pork and battered fish. Order your tacos or burrito to your liking, then head to the salsa bar to add all your favorite toppings. In the morning, you can order breakfast burritos or huevos rancheros as an alternative to the typical Lido buffet breakfast.

Breakfast is still offered at Lido Deck Restaurant and at cruise ships that feature Ocean Plaza. The biggest reason for the change was due to a large amount of wasted food and the fee-based menu for late-night snacks should help alleviate the issue. CCL vessels continue to offer complimentary late-night snacks at the delis and pizzerias onboard. But don't expect to scarf down all the lobster you can eat.
Rudi's Seagrill Menu
As always, guests can order beer, wine or cocktails from their server in the main dining room, and the Cheers! Drink package is accepted here as in all other venues on board the ship. Although Lagasse does have stand-alone, for-fee venues on several of the newer ships (Carnival Celebration, Mardi Gras, the upcoming Jubilee), the Emeril Selects offered in the main dining room are complimentary.

Carnival Celebration Restaurants With Menus
While you won’t find anything involving molecular gastronomy, you’ll find steak, fish, salads, soups, and vegetarian offerings… pretty much what you expect on any cruise line. Diamond members within Carnival's VIFP loyalty program can enjoy a complimentary lunch onboard with its own dedicated menu. At times, you may find special lunch menus in the dining room, too, such as the "Taste of the World" menu.
Nightclub Cocktail Menu
From Guy Fieri burgers to fancy steaks at Fahrenheit 555, you'll find endless options to satisfy your hunger in a highly enjoyable fashion. In fact, there's often more to eat and explore than you could possibly have time for in a single sailing. Premium cuts and seafood are the centerpiece to this evening dining experience. Randy Young is the founder and editor-in-chief at Cruise Spotlight.
Italian for "the voyage," this specialty restaurant on the Italian-themed Carnival Venezia ship takes guests on a trip with a menu of signature regional dishes from across Italy. The crispy chicken sandwich is a food fad that isn't going away anytime soon, and Carnival's chief fun officer Shaquille O'Neal is the face behind this new chicken spot on the latest Carnival ships. Here, you can find everything chicken — chicken sandwiches, crispy chicken strips and fried chicken baskets (even chicken biscuits at breakfast!) — plus essential sides like potato salad and jalapeno slaw. This rustic restaurant serves made-to-order pasta and other Italian comfort food favorites like risotto and chicken Parmesan.
The new MDR menus feature items like Hawaiian Shrimp Poke Bowl, Grilled Swordfish, Roast Duck Rice Paper Rolls, Pappardelle with Braised Lamb Ragu, Roasted Cornish Game Hen, as well as new salads and desserts. The main dining room’s dessert menu consists of three selections rotating every night. One of the selections offered each night is usually a low-cal, no-sugar treat. There are also coffees and teas available to complement your dessert.
Carnival Conquest, for instance, doesn't have the specialty seafood restaurant that can be found on Carnival Celebration. Moreover, longer voyages (i.e., Carnival Journeys) will have additional dining room menus that those on shorter cruises won't get to experience. New main dining room menus will also include offerings from Carnival’s popular specialty dining restaurants, so more guests may experience the wide variety of great food offered across the fleet. The partnership aims to introduce guests to a diverse range of culinary offerings, showcasing Emeril's culinary expertise and adding a touch of gourmet dining to the cruise experience. The menus feature a variety of dishes, including seafood specialties and desserts, designed to cater to different tastes and preferences.
This can be found in the regular menu, which gives you information about the port of call. Some days, this section will feature a specific port, depending on your itinerary and sea days. Every night, you’ll find six sides offered at the bottom of the main dining room menu. These are served in addition to whatever sides you have with your meal. When it comes to entrees, you’ll find plenty of options from both land and sea.
Introduced on Carnival Horizon in June 2018 and implemented fleetwide in 2019, "Pizza Anywhere" is an in-cabin pizza delivery option via the Carnival Hub App. These beverages are charged to passenger accounts separately and are not covered by any drink package. Pizza options include Quattro Formaggi, Funghi, Margherita, Pepperoni, Prosciutto. Your "Carnival food" menu guarantees the "gourmet fun experience" you deserve if you're booked on any of "The Fun" ships. (NEW) In early-July 2019, CCL announced specialty dining changes to be implemented fleetwide. As a result, passengers now can make reservations at specialty (at fee) restaurants in advance.

Please use this same link to post any questions you may have. While onboard Carnival Conquest, I splurged on a meal at The Point Steakhouse. I was able to order lobster bisque and surf and turf, as well as a delicious apple tart for dessert.
